Even if less than a month has passed for 2015, it has already taught me a few things that I did not realize in the past year. Before I tell you all about my outfit last week, allow me to share my thoughts that will hopefully help all of you get by this year. I might do this more often if you guys enjoyed this one, so please let me know through email or a comment on this post/Instagram (@silhouettesearch) <3
A few days ago, my batchmates and I received our report cards for the second trimester. Initially, I was nervous to see the results of my work this trimester because I was tied up to numerous things at the same time. I'd get home at around 6:30 or 7pm with loads of schoolwork to do and quizzes and tests to prepare for. My schedule wasn't as tight as it was in the first trime so I thought that I was only able to maintain my grades. Surprisingly, they got higher - by a lot. And this isn't the first time that my grades shot up as I got busier. Two years ago, I sweat more than just blood to work my way up to the brink of combustion before losing myself by exceeding what my abilities could handle. I arrived home at 4pm with no extra-curricular activities to stress about and used all of my free time to study. Every single day, there would always be a book in front of me and a laptop with 5 open tabs regarding Earth Science or Algebra. It was that bad.
I didn't write about this to show that I'm some super girl who can involve herself in almost everything but still excel. It's not that. The point is, I realized that improving as a person, especially in school, doesn't mean you have to study all the time. You have to make sure that you're happy. You need to be emotionally in touch with yourself. You have to get out there, make friends, and enjoy what life has to offer. But wait, won't going out take up even more time? Of course it will, but you have to invest in that. I've heard it a lot of times, "nobody is too busy, it's just a matter of priority," and I didn't believe it. But now I do. And I guess that's what helped me most this second trime. I rarely said no to hangouts or events or helping others out. It took time but I hardly needed it for something more important. I studied more when I was in school so that I'd have more free time at home. I concentrated during classes and made sure I fully understood the lesson so that when exams came, I'd only need to review and browse through my notes. People have always asked me about my secret to time management and I think that's it. It's not impossible, I promise you. Just want it so much and you'll get it ;)
So here I am taking a break with my most favorite girls! Keep reading to find out more about how our amazing day went :)
I love how this picture turned out! Keena (one of my best friends whom you will see in the later photos) angled this picture so well that you can almost feel the drama. Thank you, Keens!
Before watching "Love, Rosie", all five of us went to Watami, a Japanese restaurant. I didn't know we'd be eating here prior to the actual lunch so I was very amused to see that my hair matched the culture of the restaurant :>
Teriyaki Chicken and Ebi Tempura = eternal bliss.
We set off for Morelli's just a little before the movie began. I didn't eat any ice cream so a photo with them is the closest I got!
Oooof! Why am I so HD while the rest are blurred?? Oh well, the clarity doesn't matter. I'm sure you can see how beautiful they all are anyway :)
The back view of this outfit! What do you think? :)
I always look forward to your posts every weekend! Keep up the consistency <3
