Digital Fashion Week Manila

We live in a world where playing games, selling products and communicating with others can be done online. Nowadays, it’s so easy to disseminate information with a click of a finger. There was a time when it used to take weeks or even months to send a message from one country to another. With the fast paced trends of the times, almost everything can be accessed on the internet. But think about it: what’s missing? What have we fashion-hungry seekers been dying to see online? Of course, it’s being able to witness the most awaited fashion shows and everything stylish - all in one site!

Last December 10, 2015, Digital Fashion Week Manila made its grand debut to the world of technology and style. The event took place at Green Sun - The Hotel, Makati City, where all four walls of the room were used as platforms for photos and videos of DFWM were shown. Ms. Tweetie de Leon served as hostess for the night. She introduced the trendy new website as the lights, sounds and videos provided audio and visual display to hype the guests’ interest.

The Digital Fashion Week Manila website just has so much more to offer than the average fashion website. Just to give you a glimpse of what I mean, I’ve come up with three reasons for why I personally enjoy going through the website.

Foremost, it’s the first web channel in the country that allows live streaming of the top fashion shows all over the world. If you can’t find the time to join the fun at the actual event, you can now watch your favorite models stride down that ramp on your mobile phone, tablet or laptop!

Second, local fashion designers are featured on the website as well. You can view their past works and get to know these up and coming artists by just reading articles or watching short films about them on the “artist” tab. Keep up with their lives and see how they bring pride to our country demonstrating their unique talents.

Lastly, I love how the “beauty” section has everything I need to know about hair, face, and body care. For us ladies, it’s a must to give extra care to these physical areas since it helps us bring out our most confident selves. With DFWM’s regular updates, I’m sure of using the best products to keep me glowing! There’s more to Digital Fashion Week Manila, but these are my personal favorites. But to put it simply, it’s the perfect place for fashion lovers to explore!

Special thanks to Ms. Tina Lirag for this very trendy jumpsuit! I love how it fits perfectly just because it was made especially for me. J Many have thought that it was a long gown at first glance (because of the long and smooth flow of the bottom part of this piece) but in reality, it’s a jumpsuit with a very classy touch!
